WebOct 2, 2024 · We had problems holding fuel pressure. Replaced the in tank with a Fitech pump and put in a fuel pressure gauge near the throttle body. Still having a lot of problems running lean and backfiring when RPMs get over 3000. Then the handheld seemed to fail. We have a loaner but that's where we stand today. Still and frustrated. A while after we got the truck running, it started idling high. I diagnosed the problem as likely being the iac motor, and fitech sent a new one. The problem went away for several months, but now it's back.

WebDec 15, 2024 · Upon first start and having the initial set up all dialed in, it will not start at all. I have to give it gas for it to run, and when I do it runs EXTREMELY rich. The AFR on the hand held says it's about 13.6:1 but it's hard to believe since if I rev it it blows black smoke out and actually crests creates spots of black on the floor.

WebMay 11, 2024 · I had a similar hot start problem on the wife's go street 600. I put a voltage gauge in the cab to monitor the voltage going to the fitech and found the voltage going under 10 volts while cranking the engine over. I put in an Odyssey 850 CCA battery and Voilà! Voltage never gets under 11 volts while cranking and starts on first try every time!
