WebHe was designed by Manabu Kusunoki, with the intention of creating a character that had similar proportions to Sonic and was a relatively obscure animal. Mighty was kidnapped alongside Sonic and Ray by Dr. Robotnik and imprisoned on Eggman Island where they were set to be executed. The trio teamed up and managed to free themselves.
